On Mar 30th, Shell Clean Coal General Director Mr. Nicolas Xiemenez Bruidegom, Shell Foreign Research and Cooperation Manager/ Project Coordinator Mr. Alexander van der Made, Dr. Zhongxin,Chen(Clean Coal Strategy and Development General Director), Dr. Jiang, Xu (Gasification and Hydrogenation Technology Engineer ) and Ms Yu,Zhang(Clean Coal Commercial Analyzer) visited SULZER(Dalian).
General Manager Mr. Lu.Lee and Sales Supervisor Mr.Tu met with the Shell guests and made a general introduction of SPCN. Mr. Yunping, Wang Sales Manager in HPI O&G market presented an overview of the pumps used in coal gasification and the sales performance in related area. The Shell visitors shared their R&D development in Clean Coal with SPCN as well. Both sides made a preliminary discussion on promoting Clean Coal Projects and the equipment procurement. After the short meeting, General Director Lu, Lee accompanied Shell visitors to see the workshops and the office site and exchanged their views on some technical issues. Shell guests spoke highly of SPCN' s enterprise culture and production control.
The coal gasification and clean coal technology which feature effectiveness and spotless represent the mainstream of the coal technology development. The breakthrough in this area will be of great importance in China's energy security, food security and environmental protection which have received positive responses from the government. Currently, Shell has launched over a decade of technology transfer projects in coal gasification. It is estimated that there will be more and more new projects in the future which will consequently increase their demand on pumps. |
